Foligno scored two goals and added an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Predators.
It was quite an effort from Foligno after going seven games without a point and 13 without a goal. The veteran winger opened the scoring in the first period before adding another tally and an assist in the second. Foligno now has four goals and 11 points through 24 games in his first season with Chicago. While he'll primarily skate in a bottom-six role, Foligno could provide an occasional scoring burst (as demonstrated Tuesday) while logging time on the Blackhawks' second power-play unit.

Foligno garnered three helpers against the Lightning on Thursday.
The veteran winger hasn't reached the 30-point threshold since 2019-20 when he was with Columbus, but he's well on his way to getting there this season considering he has eight points in just 12 games to open the campaign. Foligno should continue to see regular power-play usage as a stabalizing presence on a young Blackhawks roster.

Foligno, who was eligible to become an unrestricted free agent Saturday, signed a one-year, $4 million contract with Chicago on Tuesday.
Foligno and Taylor Hall were acquired from Boston on Monday in exchange for defensemen Ian Mitchell and Alec Regula. The 35-year-old Foligno posted 10 goals, 26 points and 147 hits in 60 games during the 2022-23 campaign. He will probably occupy a bottom-six forward spot with Chicago.
