Brady Austin: Joins Danish club
Austin signed a deal to play in Denmark with a team called the Esbjerg Energy on Sunday, TSN reports.
Austin signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Sabres in May of 2014, drawing into five games for Buffalo two years later. Unfortunately, subsequent minor-league stints with AHL Cleveland and AHL Stockton didn't bear fruit for the Ontario native, so maybe he'll have better luck playing overseas for the first time.

Brady Austin: Set to become free agent
Austin did not receive a qualifying offer from the Sabres and will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
Drafted in the seventh round in 2012, Austin was a stay-at-home defenseman who didn't improve much during his three years with AHL Rochester, finishing with 10, 11 and 12 points in each season. He appeared in five games with the Sabres this past season after injuries decimated the blue line, but did not register a point and averaged 16:05 per game. Austin is a big defenseman (6-foot-4, 230 pounds) who should be able to draw interest from other teams, but seems destined to be a minor-league player. His fantasy value is nil at this point.

Sabres' Brady Austin: Bumped down a level
Austin was returned to AHL Rochester on Thursday.
Austin found his way into five NHL games after his call-up, recording eight shots, six hits and four PIM in that span. At 6-foot-3, 232 pounds, the 23-year-old is a behemoth of a defenseman set to become a restricted free agent this summer.

Sabres' Brady Austin: Reascends to big club
Austin was recalled from AHL Rochester on Saturday.
Austin was down in the minors for Friday's contest against Springfield. He went minus-2, but his team stole a home win in overtime and the prospect racked up 15 PIM. This guy is an absolute tank at 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds -- with that kind of size, he could make an impact at the NHL level without needing to hit the scoresheet.

Sabres' Brady Austin: Scoreless in NHL debut
Austin went scoreless with three shots on goal while posting a hit and a minor penalty in Monday's 2-1 win against the Red Wings.
Austin logged 15:37 of ice time, as injuries opened up quite a bit of playing time in his NHL debut. He managed just nine points over 36 games for AHL Rochester, so even if he sticks around, don't expect much production on the offensive end.

Sabres' Brady Austin: Recalled from minors
Austin was recalled Monday from AHL Rochester.
With the Sabres dealing with a number of injuries on the blue line, Austin and Casey Nelson were promoted to give the team two healthy defensemen for Monday's game against the Red Wings. Both are expected to be active for the contest, but don't look for Austin to see much extensive action in what would be his NHL debut. He's accrued nine points and 36 PIM in 61 games with the AHL club this season.
