Dahlin recorded a power-play assist in Tuesday's win over New Jersey.
The apple gives Dahlin points in three consecutive games. He's up to seven points, all of them scored in his 10 most recent affairs. After a slow start, Dahlin is starting to heat up, but it's worth noting that all of his points have been generated from the power play. That's great for leagues counting power-play points, but it's concerning that he doesn't have an even-strength point through 16 games. He'll look to buck that trend and improve on his minus-15 rating.
Dahlin joined his team for practice Sunday, meaning he's been activated from the NHL's COVID-19 protocol, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
Dahlin had resided in the protocol since Monday, as he was one of nine players on the team that was in the protocol. This is huge news for the Sabres, who will now be with Dahlin's services for Monday's game against the Islanders. The Swede has gotten off to a slow start in the 2021 campaign, collecting three points, 32 shots and a minus-9 rating while averaging 19:49 of ice time in 10 games.
Dahlin was placed in the NHL's COVID-19 protocol Monday, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
The Sabres now have nine players in the league's protocol. Thursday's game against the Capitals is still on the schedule for now, but it wouldn't be surprising if that was pushed back further.
Dahlin scored his first goal of the season during Sunday's loss to the Devils.
Dahlin was blanked in his first six contests, but he has begun to find his offense lately. He's scored three points in his past four meetings, all on the man advantage. It was only a matter of time before the 20-year-old started generating offense, but this will provide some relief to managers that were worried about his slow start.
Dahlin has no points through four games this season.
Despite Dahlin's lack of offense, he's also seen his ice time drop in each passing game. He skated 24:20 in his season opener, but only 18:34 in his most recent contest. He's now on Buffalo's third defense pairing, which doesn't help his fantasy value. Those who drafted the 2018 first overall pick will be hoping to see him return to the top pairing and start producing.
Dahlin scored four goals and amassed an impressive 36 assists in 59 games prior to the suspension of play in mid-March.
The 2018 first-overall pick has had an impressive age-19 season, as he paces Buffalo's blueliners in points. Dahlin's 36 helpers are also second among Sabres behind only star forward Jack Eichel, and the minus-7 rating isn't really all that bad for a teenage rearguard on a team with a minus-22 goal differential. Owners would probably like to see Dahlin shoot the puck more (90 SOG), but he's more of puck mover anyway, so there's not much to complain about here given his age and production.
Dahlin registered a pair of assists and had one shot with one block in Monday's 3-2 shootout win over Washington.
Dahlin drew the secondary assist on Victor Olofsson's first-period goal, then teed up a perfect feed for Jack Eichel on his power-play tally in the middle frame. The 19-year-old Dahlin has followed up a spectacular rookie campaign with very similar production in 2019-20, posting four goals and 40 points in 59 games.
Dahlin collected an assist during Thursday's loss to the Penguins.
The assist ended a five-game point drought for Dahlin. Prior to the drought, he went on a run of 16 points in 17 contests. He inevitably went a bit cold, and the point could help him start up another productive run. The sophomore is now up to 38 points in 57 appearances.
Dahlin contributed an assist, two shots on goal and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs.
Dahlin has posted a goal and four helpers over his four-game point streak. The 19-year-old Swede has 35 points, 79 shots, 56 hits and 34 PIM through 49 contests this season. He's still working on the defensive aspect of the game, but fantasy owners can overlook that given how strong Dahlin's offense can be.
Dahlin dished out two helpers -- one on the power play -- in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over Columbus.
Both of Dahlin's helpers came on goals scored by Victor Olofsson, who made his return from a lower-body injury. The first assist helped Buffalo tie it at 2-2 on the power play in the third period, while the second helper led to Olofsson's overtime winner. Dahlin's on a roll, having mustered 13 points in his last 14 games.
Dahlin returned to action in Friday's 3-2 win over the Rangers after a two-game absence due to an upper-body injury, skating 15:18 without a point.
The 19-year-old didn't see quite as much ice time as usual, but he still chipped in two shots and three blocked shots. With the injury behind him, expect Dahlin to handle a full workload when the Sabres host the Ducks on Sunday afternoon.
Dahlin (upper body) told reporters he'll be returning to the lineup against the Rangers on Friday, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
Dahlin missed the last two games due to his upper-body issue but appears set to jump back into the lineup. The blueliner has been rolling of late, as he's racked up nine points in his last 10 contests, including four power-play assists. The Swede should be capable of reaching the 40-point mark for a second straight year and could even set a new career high.
Dahlin (upper body) won't play Thursday against the Red Wings.
Dahlin will miss a second straight game Thursday, but he's still considered day-to-day with his upper-body issue, which suggests he could be ready to return as soon as Friday against the Rangers. Once he's given the green light, the 19-year-old Swede will return to a top-four role and a spot on Buffalo's first power-play unit.
Dahlin (upper body) is in doubt for Thursday's matchup with the Red Wings, Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News reports.
Dahlin was rolling prior to suffering his upper-body injury, as he racked up nine points in his prior 10 outings. The blueliner's potential continued absence coild allow Zach Bogosian to maintain his spot in the lineup.
Dahlin (upper body) won't play in Tuesday's game versus the Avalanche.
Dahlin was heating up -- he posted nine points over the last 10 games -- but he'll watch from the press box against the cross-conference opponent. It's unclear who will slot into the lineup, as Brandon Montour's (lower body) status is uncertain. If Montour can't go, Zach Bogosian will draw in.
Dahlin registered an assist, four shots on goal and four PIM in Saturday's 2-1 loss to the Predators.
Dahlin has a goal and six helpers over his last seven games. The Swede is up to 28 points, 67 shots on goal, 30 PIM and a minus-1 rating through 41 contests overall.
Dahlin scored a goal on three shots, went plus-2 and added two PIM in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Stars.
Dahlin struck at 16:10 of the second period, and it would be enough to secure victory for the Sabres. The defenseman has a goal and five helpers in his last six games despite seeing his role reduced in that span. He's at 27 points, 63 shots and a minus-2 rating through 40 appearances this season. The 19-year-old's occasional defensive lapses could keep him from reaching his full potential in 2019-20, but he's still a solid choice for fantasy rosters.
Dahlin finished Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Canucks with two assists, including one with the man advantage.
With only two goals this season, Dahlin's fantasy value is heavily rooted in the defenseman's ability to consistently find the assist column. He did that Saturday, picking up two helpers in what turned out to be a lopsided loss for Buffalo. Half of Dahlin's 24 points in 2019-20 have come on Sabres power plays.
Dahlin collected an assist during Thursday's 5-1 loss to the Blues.
Dahlin now has points in back-to-back games, after battling through a six-game point drought. Dahlin's having a bit of an up-and-down season, where he will have hot and cold stretches. He has 23 points in 36 games, and is on pace to finish with 42 points despite missing eight contests with a concussion.
Dahlin posted a goal and an assist with a minus-1 rating, one shot, two hits and two blocks in a 5-3 defeat to the Maple Leafs on Tuesday.
It was nice to see Dahlin get his second goal of the season just a game after recording six shots on net. Despite only two scores, his 5.0 shooting percentage nearly mirrors what he posted during his rookie season because his shots on goal per game average has dropped by about 0.67. But perhaps the goal and seven shots in the last pair of games is a sign Dahlin is trending upward. He has 18 helpers to go with his two goals in 27 games this season.
