Kuemper will protect the home goal versus the Blackhawks on Thursday, Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.

Kuemper's continued to play well recently, but he's 1-2-2 with 11 goals allowed over his last five games. He's maintained a .918 save percentage in that span. The Blackhawks have scored 14 goals over their last four contests and could present a bit of a challenge.

  • Kings' Warren Foegele: Expected to return Thursday

Foegele (upper body) is slated to return to the lineup versus the Blackhawks on Thursday. Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site reports.

Foegele sat out three games with the injury. The winger had three goals in his last seven games before he was hurt, giving the 29-year-old four goals in 18 games. He should see a bottom-six role against Chicago.

Doughty (lower body) will be back in action Thursday versus Chicago, according to Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.

Doughty will be taken off injured reserve ahead of Thursday's match. He missed seven games with the injury. • Kings' Warren Foegele: Might return Thursday

Foegele (upper body) is feeling good and hopes to play Thursday versus Chicago, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.

  • Kings' Phillip Danault: Can't find rhythm on offense

Danault's point drought reached nine games in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Capitals.

Stretching back to late October, Danault has just one assist over his last 16 outings. The 32-year-old center has slipped into a third-line role amid his struggles, and he didn't see any power-play time in Tuesday's contest. Danault has four helpers, 39 shots on net, 20 hits, 10 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating over 26 appearances. He's topped 40 points in four straight years, but he'd need a massive surge to get there in 2025-26.

  • Kings' Adrian Kempe: Tallies in Tuesday's loss

Kempe scored a goal on two shots and added three hits in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Capitals.

Kempe has three points over his last two games, making up for a stretch in which he was limited to one goal in six outings. The 29-year-old's tally Tuesday tied the game at 1-1 in the second period, but that was all the Kings could put past Logan Thompson. Kempe is up to nine goals, 23 points, 83 shots on net, 51 hits and a plus-4 rating through 26 appearances this season.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Loses to former team

Kuemper stopped 22 of 24 shots in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to the Capitals. The third goal was an empty-netter.

Kuemper put in a decent effort, but he couldn't best his former teammates. He has four losses in his last five games, but he's allowed just 11 goals in that span. For the season, the 35-year-old netminder is providing quality work for the Kings with an 8-5-5 record, a 2.37 GAA and a .908 save percentage through 18 starts. The next two games for the Kings are both at home versus the Blackhawks, with the first scheduled for Thursday.

  • Kings' Darcy Kuemper: Poised to start Tuesday

Kuemper is expected to get the starting nod at home versus the Caps on Tuesday.

Kuemper is undefeated in regulation over his last three outings, posting a 1-0-2 record, 2.25 GAA and .918 save percentage. The veteran backstop figures to reach the 50-game mark this year, which would set him up to reach the 20-win threshold for the fourth time in the last five years.

  • Kings' Warren Foegele: Won't play Tuesday

Foegele (upper body) won't play against Washington on Tuesday, per Zach Dooley of the Kings' official site.

Foegele sported a non-contact jersey during Tuesday's morning skate and will miss his third straight game. However, he is nearing a return to the lineup. He has produced four goals, 22 shots on net and 18 hits in 18 appearances this season. Once Foegele is ready to play, he could replace Jeff Malott on the fourth line.

  • Kings' Samuel Helenius: Secures two-year extension

Helenius agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with Los Angeles on Tuesday, per agent Dan Milstein.

Helenius has logged just three games for the Kings this season in which he generated zero points, 10 hits and two shots while averaging 7:15 of ice time. At some point, Helenius could be a candidate for the minors, given the lack of minutes he is getting at the NHL level.

  • Kings' Nikita Alexandrov: Involved in minor-league swap

Alexandrov was brought in by the Kings from the Blues on Tuesday in exchange for Akil Thomas.

Alexandrov has been putting up decent numbers with AHL Springfield this season, notching 14 points in 18 minor-league contests. It's a slightly strange move when you consider both players are doing well in the minors -- Thomas has 13 points in 19 games -- and are 25-year-old centers who will be unrestricted free agents at the end of the season. Look for Alexandrov to link up with AHL Ontario for the start of his time in the organization.

The 38-year-old center is up to a total of five goals, 13 points, 33 shots on net, 20 blocked shots and a plus-8 rating through 21 appearances. • Kings' Adrian Kempe: Goal, assist in overtime win

Kempe scored the game-winning goal, added an assist and went plus-2 in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Canucks.

Kempe set up Anze Kopitar in the first period for the opening goal, then closed out the scoring himself at 3:58 of overtime. Kempe entered Saturday with no multi-point efforts since Oct. 23 versus the Stars. The winger had been limited to one goal over his last six games as well, so this was a big performance to break out of the slump. He's up to eight goals, 22 points, 81 shots on net, 48 hits, 16 blocked shots and a plus-5 rating across 25 appearances.

  • Kings' Anton Forsberg: Secures overtime win

Forsberg stopped 19 of 20 shots in Saturday's 2-1 overtime win over the Canucks.

Forsberg has alternated good and bad performances lately. He's 3-1-1 over his last five games, with one goal or less allowed in all three of the wins. For the season, the 33-year-old netminder is at a 4-2-2 record with a 2.69 GAA and an .894 save percentage in eight appearances. Look for Darcy Kuemper to be back between the pipes Tuesday against his former team, the Capitals.

  • Kings' James Reeder: Trio of helpers for Pioneers

Reeder registered three assists in the University of Denver's 6-5 overtime loss to the University of Minnesota on Saturday.

Reeder has broken out in his sophomore year, posting four goals and eight assists over 15 appearances. The 20-year-old winger had 21 points in 44 outings during 2024-25. Reeder's playmaking is a positive that's been on display more this year, and the Kings prospect should continue to round out his game while playing for Denver.

  • Kings' Jared Woolley: Three-point outing in OHL win

Woolley scored a goal and added two assists in OHL London's 8-5 win over Saginaw on Saturday.

Woolley snapped his worst drought of the season (seven games) with his best effort of the year. He has six goals, 11 helpers, a plus-11 rating and 32 PIM through 24 appearances this campaign. The Kings prospect, a sixth-round pick from 2024, isn't known for his offense. He's a physical defenseman, but his playing style may not offer a high-scoring ceiling in the long run.
