The Champions League is back! After some time away, the Champions League Group Stage will be back in business on Tuesday. Manchester United will host Copenhagen for the pair's first match in the Group Stage at 3:00 p.m. ET at Old Trafford. The winner and runner up of this group (Group A) will advance to the knockout phase, while the team finishing third will have one more chance in the Europa League.
Copenhagen dropped the ball in their first Group Stage match against Bayern Munchen. They put up a good fight, but they still had to settle for second after a 2-1 defeat on October 3rd. It was the first time in this tournament that they let down their fans at home.
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Galatasaray combined for nine shots on goal on October 3rd, which explains the impressive five total goals scored. Manchester United fell just short of Galatasaray by a score of 3-2. That's two games in a row now that Manchester United has lost by a single goal.
