Hochevar rocked in the Bronx: Royals SP Luke Hochevar did not have a fun night during a 8-2 loss to the Yankees on Monday. Hochevar was tattooed for 12 hits and eight runs in six-plus innings. Hochevar was chased from the game after giving up a grand slam to Robinson Cano in the seventh. He also allowed a homer to Ramiro Pena. Hochevar walked two and struck out two.

Fantasy Analysis

Hochevar has been pretty bad for the most part in 2009 and has looked nothing like a former No. 1 draft pick. He has lost six of his last seven starts and his ERA is now at 6.24. If you want to roll the dice and hold onto him in long-term Fantasy keeper leagues, then go ahead. But it seems like a big risk at this juncture in his career. Hochevar is more of an AL-only Fantasy SP heading into his final start Sunday against the Twins. Hochevar is 1-0 with a 1.93 ERA in two starts against Minnesota this season.
