| Glaus' playing days over: After sitting out the entire 2011 season, longtime slugger Troy Glaus said he is retired, according to ESPN.com. Glaus had opportunities to sign with teams last year, but sat out to spend more time with his family. He last played with Atlanta during the 2010 campaign. (Updated 12/09/2011) |

| Glaus spent 13 years in the majors and played for five different teams after breaking into the league with the Angels in 1998. He drilled 320 homers and 950 RBI in his career, while posting a .254 batting average. Glaus bashed at least 30 homers in five different seasons, including in three consecutive years (2000-02), and was selected to four All-Star Games. He should be ignored in all 2012 Fantasy drafts unless he changes his mind. (Updated 12/09/2011). |
