Phils need DH this weekend: From the The Sports Xchange: OF Matt Stairs figures to get more at-bats this weekend when the Phillies face the Yankees in an interleague series at Yankee Stadium. Then again, maybe not. Manager Charlie Manuel said the lefty-swinging Stairs won't be the designated hitter against left-handed pitchers, and the Yankees are slated to start LHPs Andy Pettitte and CC Sabathia in two of the three games. It's possible the Phillies could call up a right-handed hitter from the minors. Otherwise, they would have to use either Eric Bruntlett or backup C Chris Coste as a DH.
