Mike Chappell@mchappell512H agoUpdated with Hall of Fame implications. Colts reportedly bringing in 44-year-old Philip Rivers for Tuesday workout https://t.co/OIyay7Qohf -
Mike Chappell@mchappell513H agoInteresting issue with Philip Rivers. He’s one of 26 modern-era Semifinalists for HOF. First year of eligibility. If he signs and is on Colts active roster, his clock resets and isn’t eligible for another 5 years. Players eligible after 5 years of last season. Eligibility isn’t -
Stephen Holder@HolderStephen3H agoFun fact: The Colts and Rivers discussed a previous return back in 2021 when there was concern Carson Wentz might miss some time in the lineup. It didn't ultimately happen, but Rivers was receptive to the idea at the time. That was, however, a LONG time ago. -

Mike Chappell@mchappell514H agoThis is selfish, but I hope the Colts sign Rivers. When he led team to last playoff appearance in 2020, we never had a face-to-face with him bc of Covid. Everyone tells me Uncle Phil is one of the absolute best in-person interviews. He was off-the-charts good on Zoom. https://t.co/O3fwLJ1aYd -

Mike Chappell@mchappell514H agoAbsolutely nothing may come out of Colts meeting with Philip Rivers other than an afternoon of great conversation. But if it does, he'll be one of the, um, most elder players to wear a Horseshoe. Unless I've missed someone: *47 Adam Vinatieri *41 Matt Stover *40 Matt Hasselbeck -
Stephen Holder@HolderStephen4H agoOne point of clarification on Philip Rivers and the Colts: He has not yet made a final decision to go through with this. Likewise, it's not clear the Colts have committed to doing it, either. They will discuss and go from there.
