Longwell not needed for field goals: Vikings K Ryan Longwell didn't get an opportunity to kick a field goal in Sunday's Wild Card playoff game against the Eagles. He did, however, nail two extra points.

Fantasy Analysis

Longwell didn't get as many field-goal opportunities at the end of the season, which might have had something to do with the Vikings switching from Gus Frerotte to Tarvaris Jackson at quarterback. The Vikings will need to improve their offense in the offseason before we can recommend Longwell as a No. 1 Fantasy kicker in 2009, but he has the potential to serve as one.
