| Merriman placed on IR again: The Buffalo Bills placed LB Shawne Merriman on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday as the veteran pass-rusher could not overcome a troublesome Achilles' injury. “Shawne has worked extremely hard, but unfortunately, his Achilles flared back up and it doesn’t appear that he will be able to return to the field anytime soon," Bills general manager Buddy Nix said. It's the second straight season Merriman has landed on IR. (Updated 10/25/2011) |
