Chip Kelly not fully committed to Nick Foles for 2015
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com

Asked about his quarterback situation heading into 2015, Eagles coach Chip Kelly expressed support for Nick Foles but did not fully endorse him as the team's quarterback of the future, reports Philly.com. Kelly said he needs to make a decision on Foles based on his limited body of work.

"The reality is the reality," Kelly said, referring to the broken collarbone that ended Foles' season after eight games.

"I can't say, 'Hey, let's not make a decision because I need to see him play 16 more games.' In certain times we're going to have to make decisions, so you have to make it based on what you have. We don't have any control over the injury."

Foles threw 13 touchdowns against 10 interceptions this year after sparkling with 27 touchdowns and two picks last season. Foles has one more year on his contract at $660,000, while replacement Mark Sanchez is scheduled for free agency. Matt Barkley is signed for two more years but has thrown one pass this season.

Offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur sounds like a believer in Foles.

"I think we know what we have in Nick, and we've seen a guy that I think, by last count, he's 14-4 as a starter," Shurmur said. "So that's really how you judge a quarterback."

Eagles coach Chip Kelly: Mark Sanchez is our quarterback Week 17
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

Eagles coach Chip Kelly said on Sportsradio 94WIP in Philadelphia that he'll start Mark Sanchez against the Giants in Week 17, per Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia.

Sanchez has been picked off 10 times since taking over as the starter in Week 9. He threw a costly interception at the end of Saturday's 27-24 defeat to Washington that ruined Philadelphia's postseason hopes. The Eagles won't rush Nick Foles back from a collarbone injury now that Philadelphia was officially eliminated following Dallas' win over Indianapolis on Sunday.

"Mark's our quarterback, and I thought Mark played a really good game [Saturday]," Kelly said. "He goes 37 of 50, he was 36 of 49 before that last pass.

"I'm sure he wants that pass back, everybody wants that pass back, but I think Mark played a good game and we'll continue to go with Mark."

Philadelphia is a 4-point favorite at N.Y. Giants.

Mark Sanchez shows matchup matters
by Scott White | Senior Fantasy Writer

Couple off a couple poor performances, including a 96-yard effort against the mighty Seahawks in Week 14, Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez was able to take advantage of a favorable matchup Week 16 at Washington, throwing for a season-high 374 yards on 37-of-50 passing. He had two touchdown passes and one interception.

Of course, that was against a defense that has now allowed 33 touchdown passes while recording just six interceptions. Not surprisingly, the Redskins have surrendered the highest passer rating to opposing quarterbacks this season.

When you look at it that way, it's almost disappointing Sanchez had just two touchdown passes while still throwing an interception. Since taking over for an injured Nick Foles in Week 9, he has only two more touchdown passes (12) than interceptions (10), so for all the yardage he piles up on a prolific offense, he's still in many ways the unstable quarterback who used to start for the Jets.

He's capable of taking advantage of a favorable matchup, of course, but his matchup Week 17 against Dallas isn't so favorable that you should automatically start him in Fantasy. In standard 12-team leagues, you can probably do better.

Late INT proves to be costly for Mark Sanchez, Eagles
by Igor Mello | CBSSports.com

Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez threw a costly interception that may have ruined Philadelphia's postseason hopes in a Week 16 loss to Washington.

Sanchez had a chance to break a 24-all tie but was picked off by Bashaud Breeland with 1:36 remaining in the game. He also lost a fumble on the opening drive of the game. Sanchez hooked up with Riley Cooper for a 3-yard score in the second quarter and again for 16-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.

He compiled 374 yards through the air while completing 37 of 50 pass attempts. He added two touchdowns and one interception, registering a 99.9 passer rating in a 27-24 defeat.

With the loss, the Eagles need to win their final game against the Giants and have Dallas lose the final two games of the season in order to make the postseason.

Report: QB Nick Foles' collarbone only 70 percent healed
by Larry Hartstein | CBSSports.com

Eagles quarterback Nick Foles' broken collarbone is only 70 percent healed, and there's no way he'll play in either of the team's final two regular-season games, reports Sportsradio 94WIP. Foles suffered the injury Week 9.

Per the report, Mark Sanchez will finish out the regular season and Foles would only have a chance to return if Philly makes the playoffs.
