AD Bill Byrne told his staff members during a social gathering Monday he will announce his retirement on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. CT. Byrne has more than a year remaining on his contract, but A&M President R. Bowen Loftin has said the university will pay the remaining amount. The Aggies enter the SEC on July 1.
