It's not often you see Alabama lose a football game, but Clemson's stunning comeback upset of the Tide in the College Football Playoff National Championship did something to Nick Saban's team that no team had ever done before.

Heading into Monday night's game against Clemson, Nick Saban's Alabama teams had been 97-0 when entering the fourth quarter with a double-digit lead.

Alabama entered the fourth quarter against Clemson leading Clemson 24-14. It did not end the game with that lead.

Now, clearly, most teams are going to win when they enter the final quarter with a double-digit lead, but the fact Saban's Alabama teams were 97-0 in such circumstances is still impressive. We see miracle comebacks every weekend in this sport, and the fact nobody had ever been able to pull one off against Saban's Alabama teams until Monday night speaks to both the dominance of Alabama, and the strength of Clemson.
