LOOK: Check out these incredible photos from Tennessee-Virginia Tech at Bristol
These two fan bases did the most America thing you'll see today
I'll admit, I was skeptical about Tennessee and Virginia Tech playing in Bristol Motor Speedway. It's a huge venue -- far bigger than a couple of Neyland Stadiums put together -- and the sightlines have to be terrible.
But the early photos out of the speedway look absolutely incredible. Even if the 155,000 estimated people in attendance are mostly Tennessee fans, the crowd shots look outstanding.

The crowd also got into the pregame festivities with some card tricks. Again, the sights are remarkable.

Then it was time for the teams to take the field.

Playing a football game in a NASCAR track is definitely a novelty, but the early feedback is that it's a sight unlike any other.
