Second-ranked Penn State is hosting No. 19 Michigan in Happy Valley Saturday night in one of the biggest games of Week 8, and Heisman Trophy contender Saquon Barkley got things started with a bang.
The junior running back for the Nittany Lions took off for a 69-yard touchdown on a direct snap on his first carry to open the scoring in the annual "white out" night game.
Barkley entered play just behind Stanford running back Bryce Love in the latest Heisman Trophy odds, according to the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook. A big game against a Michigan rushing defense that ranks sixth nationally will undoubtedly strengthen his case.
