Draft Prospect Outlook:
Khyri Thomas is a defensive stopper who, ideally, fits into the NBA as a 3-and-D talent. At 6-4, he can lock down on the perimeter, switch onto numerous positions, and knock down outside shots at an extremely high level. He will need to develop his own body by packing on extra muscle to his frame, but his skillset should give him a leg up on other prospects his size if only because he spent three seasons at the college level.
• Recorded 141 steals in his career and was named Big East Defensive Player of the Year during his sophomore and junior seasons.
• Thomas flew below the radar in high school, ranking No. 327 in the 247Sports Composite Rankings. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, Thomas closed out his high school career at Fork Union Military Academy.
• Boasts impressive 6-foot-10.5 wingspan despite being under 6-4 in shoes.
