Angels' Brendon Davis: Tending to side injury

Davis isn't expected to be available for the next few days of big-league camp due to a side injury, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The Angels added Davis to the 40-man roster over the winter after he delivered a combined .922 OPS between stops at Triple-A Salt Lake and Double-A Rocket City in 2021. He was expected to compete for a utility role with the Angels in the spring, but the side issue could hurt his chances of breaking camp with the big club even if it's only a short-term concern.
