Angels' Cesar Valdez: Called up from Salt Lake

The Angels selected Valdez's contract from Triple-A Salt Lake on Monday, Sarah Valenzuela of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Valdez was added to the roster after the Angels placed Jose Suarez on the injured list with a left shoulder strain. While he's up with the big club, Valdez will likely operate as a middle-innings reliever.
