Angels' Tyler Wade: Designated for assignment

Wade was designated for assignment by the Angels on Sunday, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The Angels turned Wade's roster spot over to Michael Stefanic, who is reportedly starting at second base Sunday. Wade has struggled to a .218/.272/.272 line in the big leagues this season, and his efficiency on the basepaths (8-for-13) has taken a hit. The 27-year-old will now be subjected to waivers.
