Astros' Kaleb Ort: Dropped from 40-man

The Astros designated Ort (elbow) for assignment Friday, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Ort posted a 4.89 ERA and 1.35 WHIP across 46 innings with the Astros in 2025 before missing the final month of the season due to elbow inflammation. He'll now lose his place on Houston's 40-man roster to make room for Tatsuya Imai.
