Athletics' Felix Doubront: Outrighted to minors

Doubront (elbow) was outrighted to Triple-A Nashville on Friday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.

This is mostly a procedural move, as Doubront is still recovering from Tommy John surgery and will likely miss at least the beginning portion of the 2017 season as a result. The lefty has been able to begin light throwing programs since undergoing the surgery in April though, and will continue to rehab throughout the offseason.
