Athletics' Felix Doubront: Throws first bullpen session since surgery

Doubront (elbow) threw his first bullpen session of the year and said he felt great, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The 29-year-old underwent Tommy John surgery 10 months ago, and looks to be slightly ahead of schedule in his return. This was the first time throwing off a mound since his surgery, and he is looking to be healthy enough to provide starting pitching depth towards the end of the first half of next season.
