Oakland outrighted Snead to Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday.
Snead, 29, gave up seven runs -- six earned -- on 14 hits and six walks over 11.2 major-league innings this season and also held an ugly 7.59 ERA in 23 appearances at Triple-A. He is now off the Athletics' 40-man roster.
