Athletics' Sam Fuld: Slated for surgery, out for season

Fuld (shoulder) was transferred to the 60-day DL on Friday.

Surgery has been deemed necessary to repair the rotator cuff in Fuld's shoulder, and he will miss the entire 2016 season as a result of the injury. The procedure has been set for May 18. He may be a non-tender candidate in the offseason.
