Varsho is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Astros.
With left-hander Framber Valdez toeing the rubber for the Astros, it's probably a good day to give Varsho some rest. He's managed just a .571 OPS against left-handed pitching this season. Whit Merrifield will move out to left field while Santiago Espinal handles second base.
