Springer went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Wednesday's 11-7 loss to the Reds.
The veteran outfielder drove the second pitch he saw from Nick Martinez just over the wall in left field, giving Springer the 60th leadoff homer of his career. He's gone yard three times in the last two contests as part of a six-game hitting streak, but hot streaks have been rare for Springer in 2024 -- on the season, he's slashing just .223/.304/.387 with 17 home runs, 13 steals, 50 RBI and 62 runs.
