Blue Jays' Nick Allgeyer: Returning to minors

The Blue Jays optioned Allgeyer to Triple-A Buffalo on Monday, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.

Toronto won't announce a corresponding transaction until shortly before Tuesday's series opener versus Boston, but the Blue Jays are expected to activate another reliever in Rafael Dolis (calf) from the 10-day injured list. Allgeyer 25, went unused out of the bullpen during his two-day stay with the Blue Jays following his first big-league call-up.
