Heyward was held out of the lineup Sunday against the Cardinals due to a minor knee injury, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Heyward is on the bench Sunday for the second straight day against a right-handed pitcher, and his absence is apparently due to the injury. The 32-year-old will have Monday's scheduled off day to aid in his recovery before potentially missing more time.
