Montgomery (0-3) gave up two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out five over four innings but came away with a no-decision in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Rockies.

The left-hander threw 73 pitches, 43 for strikes, in the spot start and left the game with the score knotted at 2-2. He isn't yet confirmed for another turn in the rotation, but if Kyle Hendricks (hand) remains out, Montgomery's next start would come Wednesday on the road against the Mets.
