Donny Sands: Let go by Detroit

The Tigers released Sands on Tuesday, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

The 27-year-old was designated for assignment by the Tigers in December and has now been fully let go by the organization. Sands played in 89 games at Triple-A Toledo last season and had a .225/.318/.353 slash line.
