Giants' Joey Rickard: Out for season

Rickard was placed on the 45-day injured list with left elbow inflammation Monday.

Rickard's contract was selected by the Giants on Wednesday, but his season will come to an end as a result of an elbow injury. The 29-year-old appeared in four games this season and went hitless with one walk and one run over five at-bats. It's unclear whether he'll be healthy by spring training in 2021.
