Giants' Luis Matos: Optioned to Triple-A

The Giants optioned Matos to Triple-A Sacramento on Monday.

The move makes room on the Giants' roster for top hitting prospect Bryce Eldridge, who will make his major-league debut against the Diamondbacks on Monday. Matos has seen his playing time dip slightly in September, and in seven games since Sept. 2 he has gone 3-for-21 (.143) with three runs and one RBI.
