Beckham was released by the Padres on Thursday, Andersen Pickard of MLBDailyDish.com reports.

Beckham agreed to terms with the Padres in February and was competing for a utility role with the club. He failed to collect a hit in 20 plate appearances in Cactus League action, though he did walk five times.
