DeGrom (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday, though the Mets said in a press release his "status and return timeline remain unchanged," Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
The right-hander will now be eligible to return from the injured list Sept. 13, but that won't affect his return timeline since he's already expected to remain shut down from throwing until at least Aug. 27. A return in mid-September appears to be the best-case scenario for deGrom, and his recovery timetable won't come into focus until he starts up his throwing program.
