Mets' Jose Marte: Receives MiLB deal

The Mets agreed to terms with Marte (shoulder) to a two-year minor league contract Thursday, Robert Murray of FanSided.com reports.

Marte had right shoulder surgery last September and it's not clear when he will be ready to pitch in games, hence the two-year deal. The 28-year-old made 14 appearances for the Angels last season, holding a 2.33 ERA and 14:10 K:BB over 19.1 frames.
