Orioles' Matt Bowman: Accepts outright assignment

Bowman was outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday, Matt Weyrich of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Bowman was removed from the 40-man roster Thursday but cleared waivers and will stick in the organization. He had a 5.19 ERA and 1.44 WHIP across 17.1 innings in the majors to begin the season.
