Orioles' Phoenix Sanders: Dispatched to minors

The Orioles optioned Sanders to Triple-A Norfolk on Thursday.

Baltimore didn't have an immediate opening for Sanders in the big-league bullpen after claiming him off waivers from Tampa Bay on Wednesday, so he'll begin his tenure with his new organization at the Triple-A level. Sanders previously made eight appearances at the big-league level for the Rays, accruing a 3.07 ERA and 12:3 K:BB in 14.2 innings.
