Padres' John Andreoli: Recalled to big-league roster

Andreoli was recalled to the San Diego roster Tuesday.

The 30-year-old has hit just .105 in 19 Triple-A at-bats this year, but he will fill one of the three roster spots left by COVID-19 designations. Andreoli's stay on the big-league roster figures to be brief, barring positive COVID-19 tests for either Jurickson Profar or Jorge Mateo, both of whom were deemed close contacts of Fernando Tatis.
