Padres' Jorge Ona: Sent outright to Triple-A

Ona (elbow) was outrighted to Triple-A El Paso on Friday.

Ona missed most of the 2021 campaign after he underwent elbow surgery, but he began a rehab assignment late in the year. His removal from the 40-man roster will clear room for several prospects whose contracts were selected ahead of the Rule 5 draft.
