Andreoli agreed Tuesday with the Phillies on a minor-league contract, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Though he joins a Phillies organization that's extremely thin on experienced outfielders beyond reigning National League MVP Bryce Harper, Andreoli likely won't be competing for anything more than a bench role on the Opening Day roster. Even that may be ambitious for the 31-year-old journeyman, given that he'll be attending camp as a non-roster invitee and has turned in a career .224/.284/.269 slash line over 74 plate appearances in the majors between the 2018 and 2021 seasons. Andreoli is more realistically being viewed by the Phillies as organizational outfield depth at the Triple-A level.
