Red Sox's Alex Verdugo: Heads to bench for Game 2

Verdugo is not in the lineup for Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Yankees.

Verdugo swung at the first pitch with the bases loaded against a wild Clay Holmes to ground into a game-ending double play in the ninth inning of the day game. Ceddanne Rafaela will lead off against southpaw Carlos Rodon in the nightcap.
