Ramirez was prematurely lifted from Wednesday's game with a right trapezius muscle spasm, Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald reports.
Playing in the field for the first time this season, Ramirez was able to make it just three innings before being forced out. It's unclear how serious the injury is at this point, though more should be known after the game. Ramirez was bothered by an injured shoulder throughout spring training, ultimately restricting him from playing the field to start the season, so we'll wait to see if there is any relation between the issues.
