Red Sox's Hunter Renfroe: Goes on bereavement leave

The Red Sox placed Renfroe on the bereavement list Thursday, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Boston recalled Jarren Duran from Triple-A Worcester to give the club an extra body in the outfield while Renfroe is away for at least the next 3-to-7 days. Look for Alex Verdugo to serve as the primary replacement for Renfroe in right field over the next few days, while Duran likely gets most of the work in center when the Red Sox face right-handed starting pitchers.
