Reds' Ian Gibaut: Placed on 15-day IL

The Red placed Gibaut (forearm) on the 15-day injured list Wednesday.

Gibaut's move to the IL is backdated to Monday, meaning he will be eligible to make his season debut beginning April 9. The 30-year-old righty has been dealing with a strained forearm for most of spring training, and it's unclear how far along he is in his throwing progression.
