Reds' James Marinan: Added to 40-man roster

Marinan had his contract selected by the Reds on Friday.

Marinan will join Cincinnati's 40-man roster in order to protect him from the upcoming Rule 5 draft. The 23-year-old spent most of 2021 at Low-A Daytona, where he posted a 5.30 ERA over 52.2 innings, though he also made two starts for High-A Dayton.
