Germen picked up his first save of the season Saturday against the Diamondbacks, allowing a hit and two walks while striking out one over 1.1 innings.

Germen came into the game in the eighth inning to stop the bleeding after Chad Qualls struggled through two-thirds of an inning, but thanks to a four-run eighth inning, the 28-year-old was able to scour an unexpected save after pitching the ninth as well. Don't expect too many more saves going forward, though, especially considering his ERA still sits at 4.18 and the Jake McGee (knee) will be returning from the disabled list in the not-too-distant future.
