Royals' Diego A. Castillo: Traded to Kansas City

The Royals acquired Castillo from the Mets on Thursday in exchange for cash considerations.

The 27-year-old has slashed just .167/.217/.262 with one home run over 13 games with Triple-A Syracuse this season. Castillo will give the Royals some utility depth at Triple-A Omaha.
