Royals' Edward Olivares: Shifts to 60-day IL

Olivares (quadriceps) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Thursday.

Olivares landed on the injured list with a left quadriceps strain July 22, and the issue is apparently significant enough to keep him sidelined for at least another six weeks. It's not yet clear whether the Royals expect him to return prior to the end of the regular season, but Nate Eaton's contract was selected Thursday to provide additional assistance in the outfield.
