Diamond became a free agent after refusing his minor league assignment, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
Diamond spent the bulk of 2016 with the Blue Jays' Triple-A affiliate in Buffalo, but he only managed to put up a meager 4.50 ERA in 28 starts for the Bisons. The left-hander does have a considerable amount of major league experience, but he'll likely fill a Quad-A role wherever he lands given the fact that he hasn't seen much success in the big leagues since his 2012 campaign with the Twins.
